The Next Chapter in My Life August 26, 2006

For those who do not yet know, I am in the middle of a terrific turning point in my life right now. I left The Chopping Block two weeks ago to spend more time doing what I love, with people I love (namely family and friends). At the age of 28, I have already seen enough in my career to know that I am not cut out for the 9-5 work day. I like to move at my own speed and in very unorthodox ways.

I won’t go into my ventures just yet but I will say that I am available for business development and client relations consulting. If your studio/agency is having a tough time finding clients and/or keeping them, then we should talk. All inquiries can be sent to daniel at graphicdefine dot org.

I can say that this blog is going to be getting a great deal of attention now that I have time to dedicate to evangelizing the business side of our industry. You can also come see me present on the Business of Design at three conferences this fall:
Flash Forward
Flash on The Beach
Internetics

Thank you to everyone who has been so encouraging that I am doing the right thing, even when it seems pretty crazy. I will not forget your help. God bless!

More to come in this new chapter of my life…

Good luck! I took the plunge around two years ago, and it’s not for the weak of heart! I’m sure you’ll do fine.

With all the information you gathered on this site, finding something to do should be very possible. If you can start a super-group with freelancers I am in!

You will be very successful. Playing the role of assisting with clients is not an easy one and something that is much needed in our biz. I wish you all the luck in the world and know that in a few years from now you will be a big honcho in the biz.. dont forget us small guys…
